Case Study 1 : Express 180 - Concept Trailer

PROBLEM

A new freelance client came to me in desperation, as he was out of financial resources and short on time. A previous editor / filmmaker had dropped the ball and left him high and dry with no where to turn. He was trying to raise money for a series on "Hollywood Success & Legeneds" and naturally get picked up by the majors. 

SOLUTION

I decided to offer him a discount and assemble a hot sizzle trailer with his strongest content only, combined with stock footage, some inexpensive graphics and a sweet sound track. I restructured the entire raw material to give it more hype, punch and built curiosity along with a unique excitement to increase the attraction for his potential investors.

RESULT

The new sizzle trailer was delivered 2 days before the original estimate. My client was beyond pleased; paid me an extra bonus check and went onto to fully fund his series by using the new sizzle trailer for his presentations. 

Case Study 2 : Spiro100 Homecare Promo Video

At TV Free Media / Spiro100 we had a solid domination of the Nursing Home industry across the USA. However, we decided it was time to break into the Homecare industry and go direct to the individual user but we had zero marketing materials or content for this goal. The founders were unsure how to break into this new territory.

After meeting with the owners, I presented & ultimately created a mass campaign plan to create hardcopy marketing materials, a social media strategy plus my plan to cast, write, direct, produce and edit a promotional trailer; as well as interviews with users and Homecare professionals. 

This clear, powerful and flashy promotional trailer, combined with our social media campaign, showcased our version of Spiro100 Homecare and succeed beyond our original expectations; resulting in over 1,000 direct purchases of the app in the first 30 days and over 2500 new Homecare clients in less than 3 months. Since then the numbers have only climbed and customer satisfaction has soared for all users of Spiro100 Homecare.

Case Study 3 : iBaby Monitor Commercial

iBaby wasn't sure how to present their impressive new product to busy mothers without the non-engagement predictions based on the initial fear of the technology being to complicated for non-tech types.

I proposed a warm, user friendly and active lifestyle concept promo spot as a creative commercial that can be utilized for television and web highlighting it's main features while keeping the concept as easy-to-use and playful for all to enjoy.

The product was well received as the app was downloaded relentlessly, alongside product orders, after the commercial spot began airing. This resulted in an increase in sales by 35% over the next 3 months.

Case Study 4 : MARLO LASKER (feature film)

PROBLEM
SOLUTION
RESULT

I had a total of $12k (investor funds & my own) to bring an original comedy to life in Utlra 4k with a 5.1 sound design, cast of 24, 12 crew, 17 locations and only 6 full days of filmming in Los Angeles & Riverside, CA.

I found a way to cast the entire film with the best comedic talent possible while paying the SAG minimum. I secured all locations by offering copy, credit and minimal dollars. I hired two different DPs using the same Sony a7s and multiple lens all for a flat-rate package; same with sound. Between writing, scheduling, directing and producing the entire movie... it was the ultimate test of stamina, character and leadership.

We wrapped camera on time and required zero re-shoots. I lead all post production; editing, sound design, color and beyond working closely with my team. Shortly after, I went to AFM, presented the full product and secured distribution via Indie Rights, across 68  territories World Wide. "Marlo Lasker" received over 100 FIVE STAR REVIEWS in less than 30 days on Amazon Prime. The movie was a success.
